Great camera! But the flashback app on the phone crashes sometimes, kicks me out of the app and reboots by himself.
Una piacevolissima scoperta!
Un modo tutto nuovo di fotografare e mantenere i ricordi.
Bravi tutti 👏🏼
Hi! I absolutely love this camera. It’s my new favorite camera HAHAHA! Everyone is asking where I got this camera from and I send them the link. I know one person that bought one after a night out with friends and seeing the pictures I took of them with it. Everyone says they love the camera ones they see the pictures I took of them! Definitely worth buying!!! If you wanna see some pictures that I took with the camera, @film_mae on instagram is where I photography dump account!
Estoy disfrutandola bastante, tal vez solo echaría de menos poder tener boton de encendido y apagado de la camara, girar la rueda para volver a activarla me retarda un poco. Pero por lo demas se disfruta mucho
It's truly fantastic, it perfectly mixes analog and digital, it's... beautiful, there are no words to explain it...
The photos come out really well, you can choose between several "styles" and the fact that
Love the V2! There are many screen-free cameras, I have three others. First and foremost, the finished image looks the most like disposable film when compared to all the other brands. If you listen to the founder talking, he talks about what is built into the final effects. Other brands just take a digital image and just add what I would equate to a color effect to them. I love how the finished images look actually like 35mm film.
When printing though, you do get a lot of noise sometimes on the lower light photos. Daytime and flash are just as good as you'd expect from an actual film camera, though.
The build quality is also much nicer. The house feels more premium and sturdy than the other brands I've used. The camera has a little more weight to it, which adds to the perception of quality.
They have nice colors to pick from, but I wish there were a few more plain ones. I am not a huge fan of the strip across each of them, but I make do with that. I picked the coffee color because it reminded me of the nostalgic colors that were used decades ago.
The app is so great and another reason FB excels over the others is the speed and quality of downloading your photos to your phone (if desired). Other brands require you to plug into you phone or computer. It's nice not to be stuck with a full camera stopping you from taking more photos. You can just download them on the go, and keep taking shots again.
I love that you can put date stamps on the photo, but I would prefer the option to write the order of the date and year. It would be nice if the photos held that date when you imported them to your camera roll. As it stands now, when you import to your camera roll, the group of imported photos are added to the date you imported them and not to the dates they were taken. It does offer RAW images.
I wish the app had better color descriptions of the various film effects. You have a photo preview of each color affect that you want to apply to a "roll" but they just have titles and not descriptions as to what is changing. It's a little bit harder for me to tell the big differences between them, so I don't use them except for one.
Another feature that is super nice about the FB is that is has a timer option that you can activate with your phone. The camera doesn't have a tripod thread insert, so you'd have to set it on a mantle or something (like you did with the old disposables). I just had hoped that since it had a timer that maybe it would offer a thread underneath.
One drawback for me is how many times you have to wind the wheel to advance to the next photo. I get that it's reminiscent of the old disposables, but we aren't actually advancing any photos, so we could do with like one or two winds before getting to the next shot. It hurts your finger when you are done winding, it's kind of sharp. So I don't really like that aspect to the winding. It would be nice if there was some sort of tactile response so you knew you were done winding, because I can't tell and I'll keep trying to wind and then I rub my finger on the rough plastic and it won't move. I wish there was some way to know in low light when the wheel is done advancing. Like if you scrolled until a LED turned green. You could have an LED next to the wheel opposite of the flash indicator LED. In low light you can't read the top number, so it's hard to tell when you've advanced, until the wheel stops moving.
It's really nice that the camera has a flash indicator on the back, because sometimes you or someone will flip it without noticing and you'll wash out a photo. You won't know until you develop it of course. So keep an eye on the LED.
The camera has a lanyard anchor point, but the camera doesn't come with one.
The camera case is nice quality, I just wish the shoulder strap wasn't a glossy copper color. It would be nice to have something more neutral and not flashy like a cotton/canvas strap.
My biggest issue with the camera is the placement of the shutter button. There is a rounded edge to the front of the camera, so you can hold the camera well, but if you do that, your finger is too far away from the shutter button. I have big enough hands to stretch to the button, but it's not comfortable and I get a few photos each roll with my finger in the way since I'm reaching across for the button. I just end up not holding the camera the expected way, negating the use for the camera grip. Maybe they will move the shutter button on version 3.
Overall, I do love this camera because it is an intentional device that keeps you off your phone. It slows you down because you have to stop and think "flash off? Fingers out of the way? Camera wound?"
You get the true nostalgia of being surprised and delighted by the photos you took, and if you wait til you get to 27 and develop 24 hours, it makes all the pictures sweeter. I do love this camera despite my critical feedback. I would purchase again, knowing all that I know now.
Works perfectly, also when transferring the photos using the temporary wifi connection directly to the camera.
Super lightweight and portable, perfect for every adventure.
Camera quality is great. Pictures are great and beautiful. The phone app doesn’t get easier. Connection with the camera is instant and downloading the pics takes not even a minute. I highly highly recommend
As expected after watching some reviews and videos on instagram, love the filters anche the build quality.
This camera gives the 2000 type vibe like some disposable camera back than, not exactly the same but about 90-95%, but I LOVE the results; very satisfied keep the app and project alive!
I love analog photography, and finding this camara was a savior right after my loved analog decided to retire. Love the fact that you can’t see the pictures until the roll is done, oldschool style, and being able to play around with the filters. The app is also really nice, being able to have all your rolls there really makes it easier and creates an photoalbum sort of vibe. Have been recommending the camara nonstop to all my friends.
I love it!! This little camera lets you focus on framing and capture photos that truly matter. My friends already love it. It brought back my joy of taking pictures.
