Is it reusable?

Of course! Our camera isn’t single use, it’s designed to be used over and over again.


Does it need film?

No: although it looks and feels like a 35mm film camera, the ONE35 is digital on the inside and doesn’t need regular film.


Do I need an SD card or cable?

Your photos are transferred wirelessly to the Flashback app, with no need for a memory card or cable.


Do I pay to develop photos?

Nope! There’s no need to purchase film and your photos will simply show up in the app after 24 hours.


What types of film are there?

We currently have 3 different film types:


#FlashbackClassic: Based on classic coloured film

Good for outdoors, general use and neutral colours

#FlashbackBeta: Inspired by expired Fujifilm Superia Film

  • Has a bit of a pinkish hue, good for indoor/dim shots and capturing people

#FlashbackMono: A monochrome film with lots of contrast

  • Best for gritty scenes with lots of detail

Does the app work on my device?

The Flashback app works on IOS 13 and above, or Android 5.0 and above.


Can I export my photos?

Absolutely! Once your roll has finished developing and is available in your Gallery, simply click the 'Share' button. Your photos will be saved to your camera roll, where you can keep them or share them with friends.


How long does the battery last?

It depends how often you use the flash, but you can expect your battery to last for at least 2 weeks or about 5 “rolls of film”.


Can I use it without the app?

You only need the app to transfer each group of 27 photos to your phone. The transfer can be done with or without Wifi. Other than that, feel free to go #screenfree!


Will airport scanners ruin my photos?

Nope! The camera is unaffected by X-rays and other airport scanners, so take it on all your adventures!


What are the shipping times?

Shipping times depend on your destination. The estimated transit times (in calendar days) for each region are as follows:

Australia and New Zealand: 10-12 days

USA, Mexico and Canada: 10-14 days

United Kingdom: 8-11 days

Europe and the Middle East: 11-15 days

Asia: 4-12 days

Africa: 12-21 days

What should I do if my flash isn't working?

If your flash isn't working, first, check the battery level and make sure it's fully charged. Then, ensure your camera's firmware is up to date to address any potential bugs. Keep an eye out for our upcoming feature that will allow you to recalibrate the flash through the app.

If the issue persists, don't hesitate to contact our support team for further assistance or a possible replacement.


Is there any privacy concern regarding photo processing?

Your privacy and data security are our top priorities. We process photos on our servers using automated and encrypted methods, ensuring no one has access to your images. Your photos are only stored temporarily during processing and are deleted afterward.


What should I do if my winder won't stop winding?

If your winder keeps winding endlessly, try moving the winder mechanism repeatedly to see if it resolves the issue. 

Additionally, verify that your camera's firmware is up to date, as this may help address any potential issues.

How can I troubleshoot film unloading issues?

If you encounter difficulties unloading film, ensure the app remains open and your phone doesn't go to sleep during the process. If you experience Wi-Fi dropouts or app closures, try restarting the unloading process.

How can I take better photos with my camera?

To enhance your photo quality, ensure proper flash usage, especially in low-light settings, pay attention to lighting conditions to avoid extreme contrasts, and reach out to our support team for further assistance if needed.


What is your return policy?

If you have received incorrect, damaged, or faulty items, please contact our customer support team within 30 days of delivery at hello@joinflashback.co, including your order number in the subject line.

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind.
