Roni and Sandra work as dive instructors on Koh Tao, Thailand.
A friend from the UK is the one who first introduced them to Flashback.
Roni says they became "super close" and ended up roommates.
The camera at the centre of this is the Flashback ONE35 v2, a reusable digital camera built to feel like a disposable film camera.
You wind it, look through the viewfinder and shoot. There's no screen, so nobody can check the shot.
Each roll has 27 shots.
When you've finished, you open the Flashback app and “develop” your photos.
You can choose between an instant download or the optional 24-hour wait.
It has 8 different film types to choose from.
No film, memory cards or external storage are needed.
Once your roll has “developed”, a new roll loads and the ONE35 is ready to capture another 27 shots.
They sat down with a Thai tattoo artist and gave him the sketch of the camera.
The design was crafted from the build of the Flashback camera.
Done in a bamboo style.
We absolutely love it!
Roni says friends keep sending her photos of Flashbacks, with the message "we just got a Flashback."
"It's now become an epidemic on Koh Tao. We might have something to do with that."
Kelric Mullen is one of Flashback's co-founders.
In the video he tells Roni: "You've committed to us. We would like to commit to you."
He then describes releasing two products this year, and says that as long as she has the tattoo, whatever they make gets sent to her for free.
Here’s the duo having received their Flashback bundle.
